Description: Panchatantra is an ancient Indian collection of inter woven animal fables which has been traced back to 200 B.C. In that period, a King ruled his kingdom and wantd his three ignorant sons to learn the qualities of being a King. He gave this responsibility to Pandit Vishnu Sharma, who decided to teach the three sons through animal stories and wrote the Panchatantra fables. These stories, the mines of knowledge, served as a guideline to them for ruling the kingdom. Every story taught them something about human behaviour through animal characters and provided a sense of responsibility. Even after hundreds of years, these stories still remain relevant and can help parents inculcate sense of discipline and responsibility in their children.
